At Glowify, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our mobile app, why we collect it, how it’s used, shared, stored, and how you can manage your data.
By using Glowify, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

a. User-Provided Content
- What we collect: Photos, videos, or other media files you choose to upload for AI processing.
- Why we collect it: To perform AI-powered editing tasks (e.g., background removal, enhancement) and deliver your results.
- Storage & Retention: Files are temporarily stored on secure cloud servers (Alibaba Cloud OSS) and automatically deleted within 7 days after processing. We do not retain copies beyond this period.
- Shared with third parties? No — except with Alibaba Cloud for storage, under strict data processing agreements.
- Optional? Yes. You can use Glowify without uploading any content.
b. Account & Purchase Information
- What we collect: Your Google account identifier (e.g., obfuscated user ID from Google Play) and purchase receipts.
- Why we collect it: To verify your subscription status and deliver premium features.
- Retention: Purchase records are retained for up to 3 years to comply with tax and financial regulations.
- Shared with third parties? Yes — with Google Play Billing to validate transactions.
- Optional? Only if you make in-app purchases.
c. Device & App Usage Data
- What we collect:
- Device model, OS version, app version
- Network type and connectivity status
- Crash logs and error reports
- Advertising ID (AAID)
- Why we collect it:
- To monitor app performance and fix bugs (via Firebase Crashlytics)
- To understand feature usage and improve the product (via Firebase Analytics)
- To measure campaign effectiveness via Google Play Install Referrer and Firebase Attribution
- AAID Clarification: We do not use your Advertising ID for personalized advertising, behavioral profiling, or share it with third-party ad networks (e.g., Meta, TikTok). You may reset or limit AAID via Settings > Google > Ads.
- Retention: Analytics and crash logs are retained by Firebase for up to 14 months.
- Shared with third parties? Yes — with Google LLC (Firebase and Play Services).
- Optional? Crash and analytics data collection supports service stability but can be limited via device-level ad tracking controls.
d. Support Communications
- What we collect: Emails, screenshots, or messages you send to our support team.
- Why we collect it: To respond to your inquiries and resolve issues.
- Retention: Retained until issue resolution plus 6 months for quality assurance.
- Shared with third parties? No.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only for the purposes described above:
- To provide and personalize Glowify’s core features
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To improve app stability, performance, and user experience
- To respond to customer support requests
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following cases:
- With your consent (e.g., if you request data portability)
- With service providers who help us operate the app:
- Google LLC: For analytics (Firebase), crash reporting, and in-app purchases
- Alibaba Cloud: For secure media storage (OSS)
- When required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request
All third-party partners are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify. Where data is transferred outside your country (e.g., to the U.S.), we ensure protection through EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other legally recognized mechanisms.

We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Access controls limiting internal data access
- Regular security reviews
Your uploaded content is never publicly accessible and is only processed to fulfill your requests.
6. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to:
- Access or download a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent (for data processing based on consent)
- Opt out of non-essential data collection (e.g., via device ad settings)

For faster account deletion, you can also go to Settings > Account > Delete Account in the Glowify app.
Note: Deleting your account permanently removes all your data and cannot be undone.
7. California Residents’ Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a resident of California, USA, you have the following rights:
- Right to Know: Request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected.
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to exceptions).
- Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell or share your personal information as defined by CCPA/CPRA.
- Sensitive Data: We do not collect “sensitive personal information” as defined by CPRA.

Continued use of Glowify after changes means you accept the updated policy.
